Founded in 1988, Child Development Schools is headquartered in Austin, TX operating over 260 childcare centers in 11 states. Our three early childhood education brands are Childcare Network, Sunrise Preschools, and My Small Wonders. We proudly provide quality care and developmental education to over 30,000 children aged six weeks to twelve years.

We have a great opportunity for a Family Enrollment & Support Specialist to join our growing company!

We are looking for a proactive and compassionate individual to support our early education program. This role is focused on growing enrollment through outreach campaigns, guiding families through the onboarding process, and supporting retention—especially for at-risk families. You’ll work closely with retention and operation teams to promote the center’s offerings through virtual channels and ensure that every family has a positive, informed experience from inquiry to long-term care.

Responsibilities

Outreach & Enrollment Growth

  • Promote seasonal or limited-time enrollment offers (e.g., scholarships, seasonal offers)
  • Develop and maintain a lead-nurturing pipeline using CRM or tracking tools to follow up with prospective families
  • Collaborate with marketing or CRM teams to push promotional content

At-Risk Family Engagement & Analysis

  • Identify and support at-risk families based on enrollment data, net promoter score (NPS) feedback, and intake assessments
  • Provide personalized follow-up and resource navigation to reduce barriers to enrollment and care
  • Build trusting, culturally responsive relationships through regular digital or phone check-ins

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Guide families step-by-step through the digital onboarding process, from application to first day
  • Ensure families receive all necessary documentation, resources, and communication prior to start
  • Coordinate with school leadership to ensure smooth transitions and preparedness

Retention & Hyper-Care Support

  • Conduct proactive outreach to new and existing families during key touchpoints (e.g., first month, seasonal transitions)
  • Manage feedback loops and satisfaction check-ins to resolve issues early and boost retention
  • Collaborate with retention, marketing, operations, and CRM teams to implement retention strategies, such as family newsletters, virtual family engagement efforts, and milestone celebrations

School Support & Operational Collaboration

  • Assist schools with waitlist management, ensuring accurate and timely updates in the CRM system
  • Support and encourage adoption of CRM tools among school staff to streamline family registration and communication
  • Provide quality tour support for schools through pre and post tour support efforts to ensure the family has an informative and welcoming experience
  • Establish and maintain a feedback loop with schools and families to continuously improve enrollment, tour, and other engagement processes
  • Help promote and execute seasonal offerings and campaigns in collaboration with school leadership

Incentive Program:

This role will be accountable for meeting KPIs in their respective markets. This incentive program directly links the individuals’ contributions in retaining families, expanding enrollment, improving occupancy, and supporting operational quality to tangible rewards.

  • Free access to online training
  • Education assistance to pursue your degree
